Though Benin’s industrial sector is relatively small, the country hosts many welding workshops, small fabrication shops, and hardware stamping plants. Due to simple equipment and limited processing precision, these factories require materials that are easy to weld, easy to bend, and consistent in hardness. However, imported cold black coils often show problems such as uneven hardness, cracking during bending, or unstable weldability.
A fabrication plant in Cotonou contacted us requesting customizable widths for processing light structural parts, cabinet components, and household hardware. Their main concerns were surface cleanliness, bending performance, and consistency from coil to coil.
We supplied 3×40HQ containers of Black Annealed Steel Coil (0.3–0.8 mm thickness, custom widths). After controlled annealing treatment, the coils achieved ideal softness for bending and punching operations.
The client reported significant improvements:
Clean punching edges and reduced burr formation
Smooth bending without surface cracks
Stable welding arc and strong weld joints
Flat coil profile minimized machine adjustment time
With better material stability, the fabrication plant successfully secured new supply contracts with local door-and-window distributors, while overall production defects decreased noticeably.
